Overview

Over the last three years my work has steadily shifted from serving one customer at a time to owning programs that touch hundreds of builders and dozens of teams at once. This log tells that story through four initiatives — AI Dev Day, AI-DLC, Beta Central, and GoGlobal — each a different facet of the same arc: take a messy, high-uncertainty problem, build a mechanism around it, and scale that mechanism across segments and regions. What began as strong individual contribution has become three concurrent Single-Threaded Owner/Leader (STO/STL) roles, and the through-line is consistent: find the pain, build the thing that works, and put it in the hands of others.

It captures scope, role, and quantified impact for those four initiatives, plus a set of broader community contributions — keeping the hard numbers close to the surface so it stands alone as a record of impact.

01AI Dev Day

Role: Program lead (STO/STL — DevEx ISV)

AI Dev Day grew out of a simple observation: the demand for hands-on developer-tooling enablement was outstripping what any one person could deliver. Rather than scale myself, I set out to scale a bench — and I assembled a group of 32 Dev Day Champions who collectively drive content creation, workshop delivery, tracking, and reporting. Building and organizing this team is the core of my contribution: the result is a champion-driven program that delivers hands-on Kiro and Claude Code workshops to ISV customers through recurring virtual and in-person events — a repeatable format that champions can run without me in the room.

Scope & mechanics

  • 32 Dev Day Champions assembled and organized by me — contributing across content creation, workshop delivery, metrics tracking, and reporting.
  • Two workshops in development: Kiro (led by Vijay Pawar) and Claude Code (led by Ganesh Thiyagarajan).
  • Recurring event format: virtual sessions plus in-person events (e.g., Boston).
  • I lead practice sessions to prepare champions for delivery.

Impact

  • Goal: influence 500 ISV customers by May 2027.
  • Recognized under Advancing Org Capabilities for building the champion team and scaling it to 32 champions.

02AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC)

Role: DevEx Single Threaded Owner/Leader (STO/STL) — stretch role Core team member, AI-DLC for NAMER ISV

STO and STL refer to the same role, labeled differently in different years.

AI-DLC is where the "scale beyond myself" thesis got its most rigorous test. I took on the stretch role of STO/STL for DevEx, and as a core team member of AI-DLC for NAMER ISV I helped mature a promising methodology into a durable capability — then helped bring it over to other areas of the company beyond our starting segment. Rather than a series of heroic one-offs, I worked through a 12-person Tiger Team to build the operating model that lets AWS position ISVs to adopt modern development practices and AI tooling, and made it run in geographies I'd never personally set foot in. For ISV alone, the team has now delivered 120+ AI-DLC workshops to customers.

Scope & mechanics

  • Established a four-workstream framework: Train-the-Trainer, Content Development, Metrics Tracking, and Pipeline Management.
  • Scaled India's AI-DLC program into North America via a train-the-trainer program equipping ~20 NAMER Solution Architects for independent delivery.
  • Built a Claude Code implementation of the methodology (originally Q/Kiro-focused) to support a broader target customer base.

Impact

  • 120+ AI-DLC workshops delivered to ISV customers (cumulative).
  • Expanded across ISV, Enterprise, and SWIM segments and into Canada and LATAM; methodology brought to other areas of the company.
  • 500+ builders reached, 4.6/5.0 satisfaction; 50+ customers in pipeline.
  • Lockheed Martin AI-DLC workshop — drone monitoring software, $3M ARR opportunity (GenAI CoE), with a follow-up 2-day workshop.

Recognition

  • Took on STO/STL responsibilities and built coalitions across teams to drive alignment on developer-experience initiatives — Ownership, Deliver Results, Think Big.
  • Evangelized the methodology in NAMER, developed the program, and oversaw execution; built a sizable pipeline with strong CSAT.
  • Upskilled a separate group for the ISV growth initiative on Quick flows and Kiro.

03AWS Beta Central → Preview Central

Role: Core developer / feature lead & de facto platform owner

Beta Central — now Preview Central — is the longest-running thread in this log, and the one that most clearly shows compounding impact. When I joined in 2023, pre-GA feature access lived in fragmented, ad-hoc channels that frustrated field and service teams alike. Since then I helped turn it into the centralized hub where SAs, TAMs, and ProServe discover and request beta access while service teams manage testers and collect feedback. It's the rare internal platform that quietly became infrastructure — replacing scattered channels with one self-service portal people now simply expect to work.

  • Joined the Beta Central team in 2023; drove its evolution through new functionality and onboarding of new service teams (notably the MaxDome team).
  • Partnered closely with service teams to help them publish betas; incorporated features from real user feedback; kept the solution running with zero downtime.

04GoGlobal — AWS ISV Go Global

Role: Single Threaded Owner/Leader (STO/STL)

GoGlobal is the most commercially direct of the four — and the clearest signal of expanding scope. As STO/STL for AWS ISV Go Global, I own the motion for helping ISVs expand across AWS's global regions: spotting the opportunity, triaging it, and driving it to launch. It pushed me past the technical-advisory comfort zone into running a revenue-bearing program with a real pipeline, weekly operating cadence, and the beginnings of automation to make the analysis repeatable.

Cross-Cutting Themes

Read together, the four initiatives rhyme. Each started as an ambiguous problem, each got a mechanism built around it, and each was handed toward others so it could outlive my personal bandwidth. The arc is consistent: what began as strong individual delivery has become demonstrated, multi-program leadership across segments and regions.

Community Contributions

Beyond the four core initiatives, I contribute to the broader AWS community through enablement, mentoring, publications, and public speaking — a consistent thread of teaching and sharing knowledge at scale.

AWS Data Hackathon 2024 — HealthAssist 3rd Place

A Generative-AI-powered mobile app for personalized healthcare and insurance management: people store, organize, and query their medical and insurance documents through natural-language voice or text — finding nearby doctors, checking insurance coverage, and estimating medical costs.

My contribution: I owned the mobile app end-to-end (React Native, iOS) and the full AWS Amplify backend.

Architecture (RAG): Bedrock Titan Text Embeddings v2 → Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL (pgvector) similarity search → Anthropic Claude 3 Sonnet via Bedrock; DynamoDB for conversation history.

Multi-tenancy: tenant embeddings isolated via Aurora row-level security — a direct application of my multi-tenant SaaS expertise.

AWS Architecture Blog — Multi-tenant SaaS on EKS Publication

I co-authored "AWS Cloud service considerations when modernizing account-per-tenant solutions" on the public AWS Architecture Blog (published 4 August 2023, with Dennis Greene and Greg Pierce). It gives SaaS providers a practical framework for modernizing from an account-per-tenant model to a siloed-namespace-per-tenant model on Amazon EKS — covering cluster sizing and blast-radius/segmentation trade-offs, EKS security and workload isolation, and per-tenant observability for Amazon EFS and Amazon RDS.

I authored and presented "How to Deploy a .NET Application to Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) with AWS Copilot" on the official Amazon Web Services YouTube channel — showing .NET developers how to containerize and deploy to Amazon ECS with AWS Copilot, lowering the barrier to running .NET workloads on AWS.

Whiteboard Wednesdays — Founder & Host

I founded and ran Whiteboard Wednesdays, a weekly, highly technical architecture session for ISV Solutions Architects. Each week an SA presented a real architecture or deep-dive topic while I hosted — driving a conversational but rigorous Q&A on design decisions, trade-offs, and edge cases. It became a durable venue for the ISV SA community to share hard-won technical knowledge.

Scale: 23 recorded sessions, March 2023 → July 2024, on a dedicated Broadcast channel I own.

Topic breadth: Intelligent Document Processing, EKS multi-tenancy, Braket + MATLAB quantum computing, multi-region DR / Olympics edge streaming, Kubernetes best practices, the Bedrock build series, Cognito federated identity, cost-optimized vector DBs on SageMaker, GenAI reference architectures, multitenant RAG chatbots (Bedrock + EKS), SQS trade-offs, IAM Access Analyzer in CI/CD, event-driven architecture, and more.

External Speaking — Nashua CLOUD .NET User Group External / Meetup

I delivered a public talk, "Integrating Generative AI in .NET: Leveraging Amazon Q and Bedrock on AWS," to the Nashua CLOUD .NET User Group (4.7★, 227 reviews) — walking developers through adding GenAI features to .NET apps via Amazon Q and Amazon Bedrock, from environment setup to a fully functional AI-enriched app. Co-presented with Ty Augustine.

NGDE TFC — AoD Enablement Training (Amplify & Device Farm)

I delivered the required enablement training that aspiring Areas of Depth (AoD) for the Next Gen Developer Experience (NGDE) TFC must complete — teaching AWS Amplify and AWS Device Farm to SAs/TAMs pursuing the specialization. Conceptual grounding plus live demos (deploying an Angular app to Amplify hosting; automated Appium tests on physical devices via Device Farm). This directly builds AWS field capability by qualifying the next wave of NGDE specialists.

WebDevCon Fall 2021 — Native Mobile Apps with Angular & NativeScript

A conference talk walking developers through building native iOS and Android apps from a single JavaScript/TypeScript codebase using NativeScript and existing Angular skills — with live demos of cross-platform UI, native API access, and an app wired to Lambda and Cognito. I also created and ran a NativeScript interest Slack channel for the community.

Appendix — Supporting Adjacent Work

  • Acquia — Gen AI Platform: guided architecture on AWS Bedrock + Anthropic models + LiteLLM; now part of Acquia Source, piloted to 800+ internal employees via VS Code (Cline + Chat UI). $60K ARR from internal usage; plans to scale to thousands of customers in 2026.
  • Acquia — Aurora MySQL Modernization: led migration strategy for 500 Aurora MySQL clusters; $22.4M commitment via RDS RI Exchange; migration to Aurora MySQL 8.0.
  • Vista Private Equity: 4 technical due-diligence engagements; one analysis read to the investment team and used for a no-buy decision.
